I am a New York based artist painting and sculpting primarily in my studio in Ulster County, New York.
Whether in the forest or city, I get excited by the disparate elements that coexist and the patina that emerges through time.
I am a mark maker and my current paintings are notations on the locations near my home. The vly, the woods, the fields and the natural breakdown that occurs is what I use as references. I work from the most basic concepts of birth, age, death, rebirth or create, decay, repair, renew. It is important to me to allow the past to be seen as though through a veil.
I find and repeat motifs that facilitate my experience of the shallow space I work within, adding and subtracting along the way.
Throughout my career as a Fashion Stylist, I have traveled extensively and have had the great fortune of working with some amazingly creative people. For me, fashion and art have always gone hand in hand in the way they influence and inspire me. I moved my painting studio to Ulster County 3 years ago from NYC .
