Margaret G. Still received her B.A. and M.F.A. in Painting from U.C.L.A., studying with William Brice, Richard Diebenkorn, Gordon Nunes, Elliot Elgart, and others. She grew up in Manila, Philippines, and  has lived in Los Angeles, New York City, and Memphis. She made Saugerties her home 6 years ago, and has exhibited in the last year in group shows at Emerge Gallery in Saugerties, and the Arts Society of Kingston member and juried shows. She had a solo show at Green in Saugerties in 2018.

“The strangeness and beauty of what appears ordinary, the emotional force of color, and the nobility and stark presence of objects in space fascinate me as a painter. Most of the art I’m doing now is based on memories of being on the road and on photographs I have taken over the years.”
