I have lived in the Hudson Valley most of my life, never thought of myself as an artist, and have no formal art training. However, I grew up in a home filled with antiques, textiles, and art, and have always been drawn to the colors, shapes, patterns, and textures of life. My photography journey began in Mexico with my iPhone. My senses were captured by the beauty of the vivid and bold colors, and aging surfaces and textures of Mexico. When I returned home to Woodstock, I began to see things through that same lens, and am still exploring my fascination with the visual world.
I was blessed to have known Aaron Siskind, who was a close friend of the family, and his abstract images have been an ongoing inspiration for me.
