I make my artwork for myself. I make things because it makes me feel better, in the hopes it can do the same for others. Making work is my grieving process. In a world of chaos where I have little to no control over my own fate, I realize how important making art is to me. I create sacred pieces of a world I can never get back. I create my own world in which I have total control. In a world full of everyone else, this is the place that I matter. The world can be an ugly and terrifying place unless you allow yourself to enjoy the beauty of things. If I could not make art I don't know where I would be. My work keeps me sane when it seems impossible.
