Encaustic on panel

Wolf of the Northern Forest is a work that explores the surreal world that borders the waking and dreaming states. The creatures that inhabit this realm are imbued with powers of healing and transformation. They roam the boundaries of dangerous landscapes, but enable ecstatic visions and power. They are ephemeral, but at times completely tangible.
Grey Ivor Morris is a fine artist whose focus is encaustics, mosaics, portraits in colored pencil and photography. His move to the Hudson Valley from New York City several years ago has given him fresh perspectives. His work explores psychology and the subconscious and the way these influence our inner landscapes. He draws inspiration from the beauty of the human face and body, the natural world, the animal kingdom and the fascinating variety of modern human experience.
Grey is the subject of a short film by Stephen Blauweiss that was shown on the local PBS station WMHT and can be viewed at: http://video.wmht.org/video/3000995887/
