Fresco and fabric on paper
12" x 12"
inspired the poem
I was lost among the pines
FULL BODIED FIELETED MIND
seeking solitude in sun showers
mosquitos feasting on my thighs
I found rhythm once the sun set into me
WADING INTO THE BECOMING
soaked in the sustenance of Forgotten Flesh
alone with my Genius
With every naked heel I weave
into silken webs of Self and Other
SALVATION SOWED INTO SEAT OF SOUL
I have journeyed long
to find my way back to my Original State.
And in her Reign bear witness
to the Evolution of my Celestial Self
AT LONG LOST WHOLE

Betsey Regan has exhibited extensively throughout the tri-state area for the last 40 years. Winner of many awards, residencies, and grants, she was bestowed the coveted NJ State Council of the Arts Fellowship. Her pieces may be found in scores of corporate and private collections. She has been working in three main themes since the late 70s: farm animals, the military, and female concerns. "Is there a connection?, says Regan, "Let the viewer tell me."
