PREVIEW "ART & WORDS"
"Art & Words" has been receiving an exciting response from visitors and will be extended through June 12th to give more a chance to experience the connection between art and words.
A poetry reading will be held this Saturday, May 20th from 6-8 PM. Many of the participating poets will be on hand to read their work along with some of the artists discussing their involvement in the project. Space and seating is extremely limited.
"Art & Words” consists of an exhibition of art and poetry— side-by-side. Existing poetry was collected by invited poets and artwork was curated from artists throughout the Hudson Valley and New York Metropolitan area. Artists and poets were given the opportunity to choose from the selected poems or pieces of art that spoke to them and to create a new piece of art—be it a visual art piece or poem—based on the original inspiration. 35 connections were made and are on exhibition.
