25% of the proceeds from all art sold September 24 - October 1— both at the gallery and through the on-line shop — will be donated to help pay for the cancer treatment of our beloved community art teacher Kristy Bishop.
Donations will be accepted in person at the gallery.
Emerge Gallery has the wonderful pleasure of exhibiting work by Saugerties artist Kristy Bishop, proprietor of Kristy Bishop Studios. She has been teaching her techniques to both children and adults in our community for years. Kristy has inspired many with her passion and Emerge Gallery is pleased to have exhibited the work of some of her students as well as work by Kristy.
It has recently been revealed that Kristy has been diagnosed with cancer and will begin undergoing treatments. As a survivor myself, I know how quickly life can change. And as a small independent business owner, like Kristy, I know the stress and fears of paying for the health care that you need while trying to make ends meet. Please join me in helping support one of our community's most precious assets. The gallery will also be collecting any in-person monetary contributions you would like to make to Kristy.
